"Anora would have pushed Hereticโs Hugh Grant down the stairs before she sat through his boring powerpoint, much less participated in his New Atheist Jackbox Games." ๐๐๐ Ani's got no time for pages-long Black List monologues demanding me to appreciate how clever they are!
Iโm STILL mad that Rebecca Ferguson was killed off in the Mission: Impossible films! The closest inkling of chemistry TC has had with a female co-star in YEARS!
TIL the only thing I enjoy more than a 30 Rock reference is an inexplicable 10, 000 BC reference, a movie that I've never watched from start to finish.
The rumination about the appeal of nun movies was insightful and fortuitous since I just watched Walerian Borowczyk's 1978 film "Behind Convent Walls". I thought it was a bit disjointed but still quite enjoyable, with some rather impeccable cinematography.
My vote for The Crow mostly stems from the fact I that forgot that Nosferatu wasn't the only 2024 film that started Bill Skarsgard... only to find out, after having to look up how to spell his last name on his Wikipedia page, that technically he was in three films last year! The third was Boy Kills World, which I know exists because I saw its very unappealing trailer during a pre-showing.
In the "Most" category, I wanted to vote for all five choices because I saw every one of them and was disappointed for various reasons. But I finally picked The Crow because it was so tawdry compared to the original.
For me it was when Celia put Madame Web on the "This came out in 2024?" poll as opposed to the R-rated Kraven the Hunter* (from the studio that made a film with the title "Venom: Let there be Carnage" PG-13). Especially seeing as it stared Aaron Taylor-Johnson and was released literally a week before Nosferatu (a movie that, while still very enjoyable, could've benefited by casting the other ATJ working in Hollywood).
*full disclosure, I have not seen either one of these

I think you're wrong about Mean Girls coming out in 2024. I know you're right, but I think you're wrong.

I do... vaguely. Like a distant dream...

You lost me on the Jamie Lee Curtis diss
She has not been watchable since FREAKY FRIDAY and I am brave enough to say it

Kraven the Hunter is STILL. In theaters. Also Madame Web is good
The real question is, how does it compare to 10, 000 BC?
