the ideal airplane movie, to me, is a three-out-of-five-stars light action comedy, one that i wouldn't seek out to watch on the ground. something engaging enough to burn two hours while not being so engaging that i can't also poke at my phone or order a drink, and something not so badly made that i'm mad at it but not so well made that it's a shame to waste it on a tiny screen partially drowned out by engine noise.

For me, Pixar movies are the perfect sweet spot of entertaining and fast-paced but also undemanding.

So it may not be the movie you watch, but the movie you catch someone else watching!
